D.I.Y Wednesday: Deco POP!

Collage DIY Deco Pop

Memories are memorable when you make them.

:Supplies You Need:

  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks
  • Popsicles
  • Rope or Twine ( you need something that is thick on the width)

  • You will take 4 of the popsicle sticks and lay out the square shape.  After you are satisfied how it looks,  you will use your hot glue gun and glue the popsicle sticks together, along gluing some on the back, but that is optional. You will continue with this process of placing the popsicle sticks over your foundation that you made until you are satisfied with the height.
  • After your desired shape and the height of the frame, it will basically look like a crate. You are going to take a twine or a rope, but it needs to be thick on the width and the reason for this, you will the placing the rope on the gaps of your crate . With that being said, you will glue your rope on the end (bottom part) and you will go around the crate with your rope and placing hot glue in between and cut off the excess rope when you get to the end. The optional part, is also placing the rope on the front, which I did (see picture above). Or you can paint the front part, but that is up to you. With all the gluing and such, you are FINISHED and it should just look like the picture above, but of course with your own creativity with it.

The great things about making your own home decor is the creativity that is added on to it and it saves you a couple bucks too. With this DIY, it can be versatile, you can either hang it onto the wall as a statement piece or you can use as a crate and you can put things in it, the choice is yours. You just have to open your mind with the possibilities, make it as your own, and to have fun.

” Creativity is intelligence having fun.”
